Dr. Peter Ou is a medical researcher and entrepreneur who is well-versed in both Chinese and Western medicine. For more than 20 years of entrepreneurship, he has focused on the development, production and sales of nutritional and health products with Heart of benevolence. As the founder of the Honson Pharmatech Group in Canada, He has created Honson Ingredients, Nutralab Canada, and its own brand, MapleLife Nutrition, a Bioulife company focusing on liposome delivery technology.

Dr. Rao completed his M.Sc. and Ph. D. degrees in Food Science from Oregon State University, USA. After being a Full Professor in the Department of Nutritional Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, he currently holds the position of Professor Emeritus at the University of Toronto.

Dr. Rao served as the Co-director, Program in Food Safety and Regulatory Affairs, Department of Nutritional Sciences, University of Toronto, till his appointment as Professor Emeritus. He worked closely with representatives of the food industry and government regulatory agencies and coordinated issues relating to national and international food safety and establishing regulatory guidelines and standards of identity for food safety. Another major issue was to develop regulatory frame work for making health claims for foods.

Dr. Leticia Rao is an Associate Professor Emerita and at the Department of Medicine, University of Toronto and an Emeritus Scientist at St Michael's Hospital, Toronto, Ontario. Her postgraduate degrees include a M.Sc. in Food Science from Oregon State University and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Toronto.

Her expertise is in the area of bone cell biology and calcium metabolism, and her long term research goal is to uncover the causes and prevention of osteoporosis by studying the role of drugs and natural health supplements on bone cell culture and carrying out clinical studies.
